🏖️ Jersey Shore Throwback: In August 1899, the 25th President, William McKinley, gave a speech at the Ocean Grove auditorium following a presidential parade through the streets of Asbury Park.

Thursday’s Only in Monmouth: In 1835, the General Store at Allaire Village was the place to find nearly everything, from medicine and mail service to furniture, flour, wine, and freshly delivered goods from New York. The $7,000 building even had a pulley-operated freight elevator, while its post office sent and received mail once a week. The first floor still operates as a store today, with part of the space arranged as it might have appeared nearly 200 years ago.
