Summer in Monmouth County wouldn't be complete without a trip to the fair. From live music and carnival rides to 4-H animals, favorite fair foods, and family traditions, the 51st Annual Monmouth County Fair returns to the East Freehold Showgrounds Wednesday, July 22 through Sunday, July 26, with five days of entertainment, exhibits, attractions, and activities for all ages.
Live music will once again be one of the fair's biggest attractions, with all Main Stage performances included in the price of admission. Red Dirt Revolution opens the fair on Wednesday, followed by THE FUMOS on Thursday. Mushmouth takes the stage Friday evening, while Saturday's lineup features Dark City Strings before The Ultimate Queen Celebration closes the night with a tribute to the legendary rock band. On Sunday, Rockit Academy showcases young local musicians before the Ocean Avenue Stompers wrap up this year's entertainment.
Beyond the music, fairgoers can enjoy amusement rides and games, 4-H livestock shows and exhibits, Touch-a-Truck, Andrew's Big Show, Bwana Jim's Wildlife Show, the WonderZone Dinosaur Zoo, the Fam Jam DJ Dance Party, home and garden exhibits, craft vendors, and dozens of food vendors serving classic fair favorites.
The fair will be open 4 pm to 11 pm Wednesday through Friday, 11 am to 11 pm Saturday, and 11 am to 6 pm Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, while children 12 and under are admitted free. Veterans and active-duty military with identification receive free admission every day, and seniors age 65 and older and students with identification are admitted free on Sunday. Visitors who arrive during the first two hours each day receive half-price admission. Parking is free, while carnival rides require separate tickets or wristbands.
Now in its 51st year, the Monmouth County Fair continues to celebrate the county's agricultural heritage while bringing together live entertainment, local organizations, vendors, and family-friendly attractions.
