🏖️ New Jersey History: Giants Stadium opened in the Meadowlands 50 years ago today, Oct. 10, 1976. A crowd of 76,042 watched its first game, but the home team’s new beginning came with a loss: the Dallas Cowboys beat the Giants, 24–14.

Weather Update: Due to the rainstorm from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias, some events have been postponed. Be sure to check local listings to make sure an event is still taking place. The Long Branch Columbus Day Parade has been postponed until Sunday, Oct. 18.

365> VIENNA: Suddenly An Angel will have its international premiere at Barcelona’s Love & Hope International Film Festival on Friday, Oct. 16. The award-winning documentary follows Dr. Denise Wunderler and Dr. Michael Savino after their toddler daughter’s unexplained death and their efforts to raise awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood. 365> Two Monmouth County singers are competing on NBC’s The Voice: Holmdel’s Mia Knight, 16, joined Queen Latifah’s team after earning three chair turns with “You Stole the Show,” while Middletown’s Connor Closs, a vocalist with The Cliffs, chose Adam Levine after his performance of “Too Sweet” earned two chair turns. The show airs live on Mondays and Tuesdays on Peacock. (More)
