🏖️ Monmouth History: In August of 1851, Richard “Dick” Brown, a N.J. Sandy Hook Ship’s Pilot, won a yacht race in England that would eventually lead to the America’s Cup. Brown is revered as one of the most accomplished captains and seamen in U.S. history.

Top Story: Monmouth Home to #1 STEM School in the Country
You don't have to travel to Silicon Valley, Boston, or an elite private school to find the nation's top-ranked STEM high school. According to the newly released 2026-27 U.S. News & World Report rankings, it's right here in Monmouth County. High Technology High School in Lincroft has been named the No. 1 STEM high school in the United States. It also ranks No. 1 among all public high schools in New Jersey and No. 28 among public high schools nationwide. (Full Story)

Wednesday’s Only in Monmouth: Rook Coffee at the Little Silver train station on Branch Avenue gives commuters and locals a coffee stop in one of the borough’s most distinctive buildings. Rook, which was founded by Monmouth County residents Holly Migliaccio and Shawn Kingsley, opened its Little Silver outpost in 2012. The small shop has since become a familiar part of the station and one of Rook’s longtime Monmouth County locations.
