Our Crew is Watching: Two Monmouth County singers are competing on NBC’s The Voice: Holmdel’s Mia Knight, 16, joined Queen Latifah’s team after earning three chair turns with “You Stole the Show,” while Middletown’s Connor Closs, a vocalist with The Cliffs, chose Adam Levine after his performance of “Too Sweet” earned two chair turns. 365> Red Bank Regional’s Louis Moore was honored by county commissioners after his peers selected him as Monmouth County’s 2026-27 Superintendent of the Year. Moore has led the Little Silver-based district since 2016. (More)

365> Monmouth University’s Danielle Frith was appointed to the State Special Education Advisory Council. The assistant professor will help develop services and policies for the unmet needs affecting students with disabilities during a term ending in July 2028. (More)

365> High Technology High School posted an average SAT score of 1,509 out of 1,600 during the 2024–25 school year, compared with New Jersey’s statewide average of 1,052. Monmouth County’s other career academies also all exceeded the state average. (More)

365> Asbury Park and Long Branch school-security leaders Louis Jordan and Walter O’Neil received Outstanding School Safety Professional awards from the International Stop the Violence Alliance. Jordan directs security for Asbury Park’s schools, while O’Neil serves as Long Branch’s school safety specialist and security manager. (More)

Yesterday’s Only in Monmouth: Belford Bistro opened in 2008 in The Junction, bringing fine New American and French-inspired bistro cuisine to a modest, unassuming strip mall. It was founded by husband-and-wife chef team Kurt Bomberger and Crista Trovato.
