Long Branch is joining New Jersey’s rapidly expanding film industry. Unlimited Studios will open on June 20 on Myrtle Ave., becoming the first major film and television production facility to establish a permanent location in Long Branch.

The new creative space will allow projects to be developed, filmed, and produced close to the Jersey Shore. It also introduces opportunities for local workers, businesses, and artists who may benefit from increased production activity in the area.

"The headlines are about the giants, but the industry rising in New Jersey needs studios in its towns, not just on its skyline," Madison Santos, co-founder of Unlimited Studios, said. "Long Branch is now part of that story. "We built a real studio and a real production team here so filmmakers, brands, and creators don’t have to leave the state, or even the shore, to make great work. As Netflix builds next door at Fort Monmouth, we’re proud to be the first production studio this town has ever had.”

The opening comes as New Jersey is steadily attracting some of the biggest names in entertainment. Monmouth County is already home to Netflix, which is building a $1 billion production campus at the former Fort Monmouth in Eatontown. Other New Jersey towns impacted include Bayonne, the future home of Paramount-backed 1888 Studios, and Newark, where Lionsgate is opening a studio.
